Role & responsibilities
  • Overseeing conference event delivery - with end-to-end accountability for operational management of all events including customer journeys and improving onsite experience
  • Maximising the profitability, sustainability and quality of each event through effective procurement
  • Project managing events and control costs to deliver within budget
  • Full event management responsibility, strategy creation and execution, P&L delivery, budget, and floorplan management.
  • Commercial management key accounts, partners, stakeholders, trade associations as well as the ability to get involved in the development of the commercial plan and attend client meetings, with a key focus on sponsorship revenue.
  • Day to day management of the event team, both direct reports and indirect management of centralised stakeholders (matrix management).
  • Build, develop and grow key partnerships, both commercial and non-commercial which drive revenue and community engagement.
  • Planning, coordinating, implementing & monitoring all marketing communication activities to ensure deadlines are met, within budget and in-line with the event marketing goals.
  • Understanding new market trends to develop new concepts and co-located programmes to develop the event.
  • Developing a strategy for a comprehensive commercial campaign to achieve revenue and commercial growth goals.
  • Attending industry events to gain an excellent understanding of the market.
  • Visit competitive events, meet existing customers and prospect for new business.
Gross Salary £ 41,100 p.a.
Qualification & experience required Successful applicant will have either a degree or equivalent qualification and/or relevant experience of at least 3 years
